Saturday 12th of July
Part 1 of Day 2:
From Mestre, we catch a bus heading to Venice. I am worried we might be caught in a massive tourist crowd, but to my surprise Venice is not as packed as I imagined, and it's a Saturday!
I am thrilled, I hear for the first time in 3 years the cicadas! Shh-shh-shh-shh...! We picnic in the small park near the bus station, wow how this place is charming!
We will spend the whole day walking around, avoiding the crowded circuit and popular sights.
