I get a wake up text; Sabrina woke up early and is chilling down at the restaurant and having a nutella pancake. My face is all swollen, I am suffering from more than a simple sunburn; a sun allergy (or so says Google), luckily I do not have a headache nor do I feel sick. I head down to the reception to extend my stay one night. I think it will do me good to just chill and sleep in an air con room for a night more. I also book a mini van to Kampot for tomorrow. Time for breakfast, I am hungry, hungry for a chocolate crepe!
Je me reveille au son de mon télèphone; un message de Sabrina qui me dit qu'elle s'est réveillé tôt et qu'elle est descendue au restaurant pour déjeuné. Elle me dit aussi qu'elle deguste une crêpe au nutella. Mon visage est boursouflé, aprés quelques recherches, Google me dit que je souffre d'une reaction violente au soleil. Je n'ai pas de maux de tête, ni de nausée. Je decide de rester une nuit de plus ici, les dortoirs sont equipés de clim, je pense que ca va m'aider a guerrir plus rapidement. Je descend a la reception pour rallonger mon sejour, je réserve aussi un trajet en mini van pour Kampot. J'ai faim et pour le petit déjeuné je veux une crepe au nutella..!
I have to buy a cap, and some aloe vera for my sunburns. Sabrina and I will spend the day together. The hostel is located near Victory Beach, the street behind the hostel is filled with expat restaurants; German, Italian, Aussie, etc. And a few bars I see a few tempting dishes while walking by a French restaurant. The prices are actually cheap too, a little cheaper than the available Khmer foods. We keep on walking towards the beach, not many people here. We stop for a coconut while looking at children playing in the sand.
Je dois m'acheter une casquette et de l'aloe vera pour mes brulures. Sabrina va passer la journée avec moi. Notre auberge est situé prés de Victory Beach, la rue adjacente a l'auberge est composé de restaurant d'expat, Allemagne, Italie, Australien, etc. Et de quelques bars. Je repère quelques plat interessant sur le menu d'un restaurant francais. Les prix sont pas trop cher comparé au prix de la cuisine locale.On continue a marcher jusqu'a Victory Beach, plutôt deserte la plage. On s'arrète pour boire une noix de coco. Des enfants rigolent et jouent dans le sable en face de nous.
For lunch we will have French food haha! I order a savory bolognese crepe and a fruit shake.
On mangera francais pour le déjeuné haha! Je commande une crepe salé à la bolognaise et un jus de fruit frais.
We then spotted a shop with cute dresses. I myself got submerged into a huge pile of tiny jeans. Ten dollars for three cute jeans, SOLD. The lady tells me that if one is too small I can always come to exchange it for an other. Nice :) We head back to the hostel, I try on the jeans, two fits well but one is too small, I will have to return that one.
On repère un magasin qui vend des robes, pendant que Sabrina regarde, je me retrouve submergée dans une pile enorme de shorts en jean. Dix dollars pour trois paires de short trop mimi. La vendeuse me dit que si un des short de me va pas, je peux revenir le changer contre une autre paire. On retourne a l'auberge, j'essaye les jeans, un des short est trop petit, je vais devoir retourner le changer.
After resting for a while, we invite Martin to come over on this side of Sihanoukville. On our way to the "expat street", we run into a mini Songkran water festival, children and teens throwing water at cars and motorbikes. Needless to say that we ended soaking wet. :D
Aprés nous être reposé pour un moment, on invite Martin a nous rejoindre. On decide de retourner dans la rue "des expats". Sur le chemin, on rencontre un groupe de gamin et d'ado qui s'amuse a jeter de l'eau sur les automobilistes et les motard, un genre de mini Songkran aprés le nouvel an Khmer. On se retrouve bien sur trempé. :D

We end up eating at the French restauarnt again. This time I will have a burger, and as a dessert a lemon crepe. I was so full, I had a fun time trying to finish my crepe haha. While we were eating, the bar girls go ready for the night.
On retourne au restaurant francais. Cette fois ci je vais manger un hamburger, et pour le dessert une crepe sucre citron. J'avais tellement mangé que j'ai eu du mal a finir ma crepe haha. Pendant que nous mangeons, les filles de bar se preparent pour la nuit.

C'est notre dernière soirée ensemble. Quelques bière et des chanson locales du nouvel an pour bien profiter!
